Archie Ryan Commander

1st Board Member

Archie Ryan Commander was born in Charleston, Mississippi. His parents were Robbie Commander and Joe Eddie Commander, both deceased. There were fifteen children in his family. Ryan has six children, 3 sons and 3 daughters.

“Ryan” attended school and graduated high school in Tucson, Arizona. He did further study in vocational jobs skills training. He is a builder and handy man. We refer to his as a “Jack of All Trades”. Ryan is very gifted with his hands and has a mind of steel.

He is a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ Grenada, Mississippi. He currently serves as a Board Member with the Grenada Chapter of the NFB.

The NFBM is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are registered with the Mississippi Secretary of State for the purpose of soliciting funds as a non-profit organization. All of our officers are non-salaried individuals.

All tax deductible contributions should be made payable to the National Federation of the Blind of Mississippi. (NFBM) and mailed to P.O. Box 1515, Jackson, MS 39215-1515.
