First Vice President

Blind since birth, I attended the Mississippi School for the Blind and I’m a graduate of Jackson State University. I’ve been employed with Mississippi Disability Determination Services, the Advocacy Center in Louisiana, and Goodwill Industries of Mississippi. At this time I’m presently employed as an assistive technology instructor at Addie McBryde Rehabilitation Center for the Blind in Jackson, Mississippi.

I joined the NFB of MS in 1984. I currently serve as Secretary of the Jackson Chapter and 1st Vice President of the Mississippi State Affiliate. I’m the chairman of the annual "Walk for Independence" campaign and I’m also a mentor and an imaginator. My pet project is promoting Newsline. I’d also like to do more work in the areas of advocacy, chapter building, securing grants, and mobilizing members.

The NFBM is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are registered with the Mississippi Secretary of State for the purpose of soliciting funds as a non-profit organization. All of our officers are non-salaried individuals.

All tax deductible contributions should be made payable to the National Federation of the Blind of Mississippi. (NFBM) and mailed to P.O. Box 1515, Jackson, MS 39215-1515.
