WALK THE WALK WITH NFB

The purpose of the "Walk" is threefold: (1) raising awareness of blind persons traveling
with their white canes, (2) raising consciousness of the "White Cane Law. during White Cane
Safety Week (May 15-21), and (3) raising funds to assist in carrying out the programs and
services of the National Federation of the Blind of Mississippi. NFB is a Consumer
organization mainly of persons who are blind or visually impaired and has a membership of
over 50 thousand nationwide. There are six NFB Chapters in Mississippi. The primary mission
is to provide support and advocacy through our state affiliates and local chapters. We are a
Non-Profit organization registered with the Mississippi Secretary of State.
