Mission Statement

The mission statement of the National Federation of the Blind of Mississippi (Gulf Coast, Grenada, Hazlehurst, Jackson, Natchez and Tupelo Chapters) is as follows:

The NFB of MS (Gulf Coast, Grenada, Hazlehurst, Jackson, Natchez and Tupelo Chapters) works to improve the lives of the blind and visually impaired socially, economically and educationally including but not limited to the following activities/services, enhancement seminars and/or workshops, purchase of supplies and assistive devices such as Braille paper, Braille writers, canes, Braille or talking watches, academic and convention scholarships, advocacy and support for newly blinded individuals, etc.

The NFBM is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are registered with the Mississippi Secretary of State for the purpose of soliciting funds as a non-profit organization. All of our officers are non-salaried individuals.

All tax deductible contributions should be made payable to the National Federation of the Blind of Mississippi. (NFBM) and mailed to P.O. Box 1515, Jackson, MS 39215-1515.
