Mrs. Bobbie (Durr) Tidwell

Treasurer Elect

Mrs. Bobbie (Durr) Tidwell was born in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Grenada as a young child. She has eleven siblings. She is married to Frank Tidwell. They have six children, 3 sons and 3 daughters; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Bobbie began her education in Chicago, Illinois; and graduated high school from Carrie Dotson High School in Grenada, Mississippi. Bobbie received her CNA certification from a training center in Grenada, Mississippi.

She has been employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant, Funeral Director, and currently at the Mississippi Department of Health WIC Center as a Clerk.

Her active membership rests with the New Life Christian Fellowship Church, under the leadership of Pastor E. H. Hargrove, Jr. Mrs. Tidwell serves as joint coordinator of the Helpers Ministry, and a Care Team Leader at her church. She also is a public servant in that she is a volunteer care counselor in her community.

Mrs. Tidwell is a member of the Grenada Chapter of the NFB and serves as Treasurer Elect.

The NFBM is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are registered with the Mississippi Secretary of State for the purpose of soliciting funds as a non-profit organization. All of our officers are non-salaried individuals.

All tax deductible contributions should be made payable to the National Federation of the Blind of Mississippi. (NFBM) and mailed to P.O. Box 1515, Jackson, MS 39215-1515.
