I am the 26-year-old mother of a six-year-old set of twins. Imilie Kate and Jackson Kade were born at 29 weeks gestation. As a result of premature delivery Imilie and Jackson have retinopathy of prematurily. We joined the NFB of Mississippi in 2004 and haven't turned back since. The NFB gave us a new direction for my children; a direction that I, in my heart knew was possible but was told by professionals and doctors was unreachable.

After being in the NFB for three years I dove in to the duty of developing a parent's division in Mississippi. With much help from Mary Evans and Sam Gleese we got it started in July of 2006. We are growing everyday.

Come with me on this incredible journey and take a new direction, reach above and beyond the goals set for blind people in our society today. Join in the movement and help change what it means to be blind in Mississippi.

The NFBM is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are registered with the Mississippi Secretary of State for the purpose of soliciting funds as a non-profit organization. All of our officers are non-salaried individuals.

All tax deductible contributions should be made payable to the National Federation of the Blind of Mississippi. (NFBM) and mailed to P.O. Box 1515, Jackson, MS 39215-1515.
