Richard Zenzel,

Secretary

Brooklyn, New York is Mr. Richard Zenzel’s birthplace. He has a brother in California and a sister who lives in New Jersey. His parents passed away several years ago.

Mr. Zenzel attended Barringer High School located in Newark, New Jersey where he graduated from in 1966. Soon after that he moved to Virginia and later to Louisiana in October of that year where he attended the Louisiana Center for the Blind.

Prior to his move to Hazlehurst and working at Signature Works, which is now called LC. Industries in the late 1990’s Mr. Zenzel has worked for Fox Photo Company and later went to work for the Virginia Industries For The Blind located in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Mr. Zenzel enjoys Baseball, which is one of his greatest loves when it comes to sports. He’s a huge Mets fan. He also enjoys reading, country music and spending time with friends.

While living in Virginia it was at that time that Mr. Zenzel learned about the National Federation of the Blind and joined the NFB of Virginia and later the Blue Ridge Chapter. Mr. Zenzel is currently the secretary for the Hazlehurst Chapter.

The NFBM is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are registered with the Mississippi Secretary of State for the purpose of soliciting funds as a non-profit organization. All of our officers are non-salaried individuals.

All tax deductible contributions should be made payable to the National Federation of the Blind of Mississippi. (NFBM) and mailed to P.O. Box 1515, Jackson, MS 39215-1515.
